Tauranga Performing Arts Competitions Society is an Incorporated Society, and a Registered Charity CC25382 Tauranga Performing Arts Competitions Society is a member of Performing Arts Competitions Association of New Zealand Inc. (Pacanz), parent body for the performing arts movement in New Zealand.  http://www.pacanz.co.nz/ Our Mission Statement is: To encourage, foster and promote the practice and appreciation of the performing arts in New Zealand. Tauranga Performing Arts Competitions Society has a management committee of thirteen members; our current President is Mrs. Annette Johnston. Tauranga Performing Arts Competitions Society holds their annual competitions festival in the July School Holidays at the Baycourt Community and Arts Centre in central Tauranga.  Art forms; Piano, Instrumental, Singing, Speech and Drama, Ballet, Tap dancing, Highland dancing and Modern dance.  The 55th Tauranga Festival of Performing Arts will be held 29 June - 8 July 2012
